WHAT DOES INFANT FEEDING SUPPORT LOOK LIKE WITH ROOTED?
Whether folks are choosing to breastfeed, provide formula, or bottle feed, our team lactation specialist can provide practical education and guidance to ensure that you feel confident and empowered in your feeding choices.
During an infant feeding support session, we assist with:
- Prenatal assessments and education
- Infant feeding intention setting
- Preparing for success in the hospital
- Avoiding nipple and breast pain
- Assessment and support with latch and positioning
- Developing and maintaining milk supply
- Managing or down-regulating oversupply
- Creating a daily feeding schedule
- Using pumps, nipple shields and other accessories as needed
- Pumping and safe milk storage
- Safe formula preparation
- Processing breast / chestfeeding grief
Doulas provide highly individualized care to meet the unique needs of each client, so their support may look different from person to person.
WHAT'S THE COST?
Our services are free for families who are low-income, receiving OW or ODSP, newcomers to Canada, or navigating refugee or precarious immigration status.

All prices are listed before tax. Applicable HST will be added to the final bill.
Bottle 1 – $100 / session
Bottle 2 – $75 / session
Bottle 3 – $50 / session
Bottle 4 – $35 / session
